This exhibition brings together historical photographic archives and cameras with contemporary Chicago-based artists and educators, inviting them to creatively reinterpret and activate these materials through new works and public programs that explore the evolving social, political, and environmental significance of photography in today's world.

ISEA2025 endeavors to explore a new worldview that transcends the recurring theme of posthumanism in contemporary art, as well as the divisions between East and West, art and science, materiality and spirituality, and technology and humanity.

This exhibition explores the intersection of faith, daily rituals, and rapidly changing technology. Places of worship have always been spaces where stories of belief and community are shared. However, these traditions shift and evolve in response to technological change, especially in the digital age. Through photography, sound, and fashion, the artists reimagine sacred spaces and symbols, blending the past with the present to reflect how technology shapes our lives, habits, and rituals.
